Research Opportunities

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for PhD scholarships in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at North Carolina A&T University. The scholarship is immediately available and focuses on the design of secure, explainable, and/or privacy-preserving protocols for autonomous systems, vehicular ad hoc networks, and smart grid.
Applicants should have a strong background in one or more of the following areas: applied cryptography, blockchain, machine learning (specifically deep neural networks, adversarial AI, explainable AI), and privacy-preserving machine learning.

Requirements include:
  1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Math or a related discipline.

  2. Basic knowledge of applied cryptography.

  3. Strong knowledge of machine learning, including deep neural networks (LSTM, GRU, CNN, GAN, etc).

  4. Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills with High TOEFL and GRE scores.

  5. Proficient programming skills in Python (PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn, etc.) and MATLAB.
